A quiet week for releases — which is when the price drops do the work
One launch this week, and it is a small one. Ace Combat 8 is three weeks out, and Grand Theft Auto VI lands in November — close enough that plenty of people are already holding money back for it.
So this issue leans on the other two sections. Six games we have recommended hit their lowest price since we started tracking in June, and the three proven picks below sit between 94% and 98% positive. Those are not gambles. They are games that already survived the crowd.
Out this week
WARDOGS
Released 10 Sep 2026 · #1 on Steam this week · Action · Indie · Massively Multiplayer
Out Thursday. Action and massively multiplayer at once, which is the combination that most often plays better in a trailer than in a lobby. We will have a verdict once there are enough reviews to mean anything.
On the horizon
Confirmed PC dates after this week, listed early. Each card shows its own date.
ACE COMBAT 8: WINGS OF THEVE
Released 1 Oct 2026 · #94 on Steam this week · Action
Three weeks out. The series has never shipped a bad entry on PC, but it has shipped thin ones — the question is length, not quality.
Grand Theft Auto VI
Lands 19 Nov 2026 · Action · Adventure
November 19. Worth knowing now because it will bend everyone's budget for the rest of the year, including what you spend on everything else in this issue.
Back in the spotlight
Proven games — a year or more out, 88%+ on Steam — that currently sell cheap. Prices are live from the same database that powers ulov.gg.
PEAK
Released 16 Jun 2025 · Action · Adventure · Indie
94% positive. A climbing game you play with other people who also have no idea what they are doing. That is the entire joke, and it holds for far longer than it should.
Titanfall® 2
Released 18 Jun 2020 · Action
96% positive. The campaign is about six hours long and is still the reference other shooters get measured against.
Vampire Survivors
Released 20 Oct 2022 · Action · Casual · Indie
98% positive, one of the highest scores on Steam. It looks like it was made over a weekend and has eaten more evenings than most full-price releases.
New lows among the games we recommended
Games from our guides, lists and verdicts that dropped to their cheapest price of the week we have on record. We have been recording prices since 11 June 2026, so that is as far back as the claim goes — each card shows the offer we saw and the day we saw it.
Conan Exiles Enhanced
Lowest since June 2026 · Action · Adventure · Massively Multiplayer
79% positive and the biggest drop in this issue. A survival game that is genuinely brutal early and opens up once you stop dying — if that sounds like a chore rather than a hook, skip it.
Raft
Lowest since June 2026 · Adventure · Indie · Simulation
93% positive. You start on a plank in the ocean with a hook. It is the rare survival game with an actual ending, which is why people finish it.
20 Minutes Till Dawn
Lowest since June 2026 · Action · Adventure · Casual
90% positive. Runs last twenty minutes, which is exactly the length that makes you start another one.
Mechabellum
Lowest since June 2026 · Action · Indie · Massively Multiplayer
84% positive. You place robots, then watch the battle without touching anything. All the thinking happens before the fight, and that is the appeal.
Prince of Persia The Lost Crown
Lowest since July 2026 · Action · Adventure
84% positive and badly underplayed at launch. A metroidvania with the cleanest movement of its year.
Slay the Princess — The Pristine Cut
Lowest since July 2026 · Adventure · Indie · RPG
97% positive. A visual novel where every choice rewrites what came before it. Two hours the first time, and you will play it more than once.
